Just a short letter about road runs.
Why do they have five-year age divisions unless you’re 60? Then it goes to 60 and over. Just wondering. I am 69 and have to compete with those who are 60, or what if you’re 75? It’s not fair.
We don’t run 10 miles just for fun. We train extensively. We like to win too.
Just because we’re seniors doesn’t mean we’re not competitive. Seems like discrimination. We also pay to enter these races just as much as everyone else. There is no senior discount as far as I know.
Poor sport maybe?
